For most people this will be the first parties they have to organize and
therefore probably the most stressful. We had our earliest parties for
our kids at home then moved on to better locations.

The first birthday was for close family
and friends it was in the afternoon due to fitting around the feed and
sleep times and it comprised of balloons, birthday banner and party cups
etc, we centred the party around our child in our living room and the
guests sat around drinking tea or coffee, although there was other
drinks available.

We didn't spend a great deal on this party
as it was more of a celebration for us rather than the child.
The second party was a similar affair but
included a few children that we had got to know through local pre school
the parents of those children were also invited so as to make our day a
bit easier and also make the children more comfortable.

For the third, forth & fifth parties we
decided that it was time to take it out of our house so as to have more
children and better amusements, so we looked around for suitable venues
these included local church halls,
sports centres and speciality play areas
