Teenagers!!!
This was a difficult one! When our children
reached this age, Parents were definitely an embarrassment to them, and
no way would they want a party at their house with us watching them.
At this age children want a bit of
responsibility, they like to get dressed up and go out with their
friends. this worked well with our two, we took them and a couple of
friends to the local pizza place, paid for their meal and collected them
later.
Oh no! you say not the theme parks, young
people love these places, the best thing to do would be to take a friend
along and all you have to do is sit and watch and let your child and
their friend scare themselves silly.
It is an important thing to
remember these places are not cheap but are great fun.
I know these may sound lame, well maybe
they are but you know your children better than anyone else so if these
don't appeal then have a go at organizing the day around their favorite
subject
All I know is that when you spend
the time to ask your teenagers what they want to do NORMALLY they
already have a plan and were afraid to say. Maybe just maybe it
is a good idea and you could go with it?
